These pieces display the height of their pottery making techniques, with motifs and decorative patterns so elaborately and precisely crafted.

1 (p. 132):
The space around the unidentifiable motif of either a frog or a human is filled with symbolic patterns.

2 (large pic., p. 133):
Shoulder pad, vertical line of the back and both arms become abstract and blend into the decorations.

3 (small pic., p. 133):
Motifs of the human figure with shoulder pads have become even more abstract in this pottery. In this way, decoration motifs became simplified patterns and thus messages associated with them may have gradually become unknown.
